FAQ

Welcome to Robin Hood Ministries.

We are a grass-roots ministry dedicated to sharing the blessings(winnings) that we receive from the casinos. We channel our tithes directly to the less fortunate.

We believe that each jackpot is a blessing from God and that blessings must be shared freely. We let our hearts be our guide as to whom the recipients shall be. When God puts a person in our path, we know, and we gladly share our blessings with that person.

We don't share with the expectations of receiving more. But in our experience, the more we share, the more we receive!!

"But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly;
and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully."

....2 Corinthians 9:6

The Mission

Our Mission is three-fold:

1. To dignify the "Gambler" and bring them closer to God

2. To teach Senior Citizens "Basic Video Poker" principles so they can, on average, become consistent winners

3. To teach the principles of sharing blessings(winnings) with needy, elderly, or others as our hearts dictate

And, hopefully, by accomplishing the Mission, we will help dim the "Sin City" lights and brighten the "Las Vegas" image.

A New Era for Gamblers

We envision this ministry being the beginning of a new era for gamblers by bringing them closer to God.

It is an accepted practice for soldiers to pray before an upcoming battle, even though killing is a sin. But the soldier is justified because he is fighting an evil regime to liberate those oppressed who cannot defend themselves.

It is also accepted, and even creates respect, for a boxer to kneel in prayer prior to a contest in which he is expected to beat his opponent to a bloody mass. Is this violent contest justified in any way? Does it serve those in need in any way?

In less violent sports, respect is certainly shown to the young or old, occassional, amateur, or professional athlete who kneels in prayer prior to a contest or game. But when they come out winners, do they in any way share their blessings with the needy? Does it bring them closer to God?

Why then shouldn't the occasional, amateur, or professional gambler be respected when they ask for blessings from God prior to engaging in a "non-violent" game or contest of skill? Especially since those blessings(winnings) will be shared directly with the needy. And, moreso, because this sharing experience will bring them closer to God. No longer need the gambler be ashamed of his/her profession or pastime. "God Loves Gamblers too!"

Join Us

We invite you to join us. Our game of choice is Full Pay Deuces Wild primarily because of the "positive payback" which in the long run virtually eliminates "chance." We are non-denominational and accept all regardless of race, religion, or game preference.

There is no fee, but donations will be accepted and used to further the mission and serve the needy. We ask only that you adhere to the above principle and share each of your blessings(winnings) with a needy person of your choice.

As a member, you will receive our spiritual support, guidance, and blessings. You may join us in our fellowship meetings and online web forums. And, if you qualify, you may participate in our"Basic Video Poker" training classes to further enhance your blessings.

Also, we would ask that you submit encouraging stories of your blessings shared and received.

There is power in numbers- so just think of the good that an army of Robin Hood Ministries members can do by sharing their blessings. Not only will needy souls be blessed, but the "Gambler" will become a hero to the poor- just like the fabled "Robin Hood ." Perhaps our members can help dim the "Sin City" lights and brighten the casino images."

But MOST important will be the blessings you get from within when you see the joy and appreciation in the eyes of someone you share your blessings with.

"God Loves Gamblers Too" but He will love you even more when you share your blessings and let Him be your Master!

"God Bless"
